!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is saying the FIA are looking for a 12th team to fill up the grid and take HRT's spot. I totally think VW should jump in with one of their brands.

I have discussed this with a friend before: Bring back a Bugatti F1 Team. Light blue is perfect, everyone will recognize the cars thanks to their unique color. Heritage? Hell yeah.
The more likley thing though is VW entering somwhere in 2020 because by then all Renault engine contracts are ending and they might be able to aquire technology and get attractive teams (Red Bull) to run their engines.

I don't think there is time for a 12th team to enter 2014. They could buy the engine say mercedes, but still they'd have to make the car and all that.

Mercedes already supplies 4 teams (Mercedes GP, Mclaren, Williams, Force India) for 2014. I doubt they can provide engines for a 5th team with the new complexity of the V6 Turbos.
Sky Sports says that the FIA is looking for a team to join in 2015/2016 anyways.

I'd more readily associate Bugatti with Le Mans. That might be because of the circuit, though.

I was certain that only awarding prize money through 10th was a way of eliminating the 11th team. I thought Bernie felt that the series should only have teams. This would suggest that I am wrong.

I certainly remember an article about Bernie saying that F1 was better off with only 10 teams so this came as a bit of a surprise to me. Let's just hope whoever signs up to be the new team doesn't end up being another USF1 debacle.

Whenever I think about Bugatti I think about the Typ 35, one of the most successful GP/F1 cars of all time. That's why I want them to make a comeback, and I really think that a classsic Bugatti livery would look stunning on a modern F1 car.
